Leo Tonidandel began playing piano at a young age, developing a classical foundation that continues to shape the discipline and sensitivity of his music today. Over time, that foundation expanded through a lifelong curiosity for different styles, particularly progressive music and jazz, where structure, freedom and emotion often meet.
His international life and career have taken him across countries, cultures and very different chapters of experience. Music has remained a constant throughout, not as a pursuit of perfection, but as a personal language for reflection, memory and emotion.
Leo plays largely from instinct. His compositions are guided by feeling rather than formula, often beginning with a simple melody, a mood or a moment that gradually finds its own direction. Piano remains at the centre, sometimes complemented by synthesizers and atmospheric textures, but always with emotion as the starting point.
He sees music as another form of lifelong learning. There is always more to understand, more to listen to and more to discover. Rather than trying to fit neatly into one genre, he continues to explore where classical foundations, jazz influences, progressive ideas and contemporary sound can meet naturally.
